That is a stage, not a disclaimer, and the numbers below are the ones that are actually true today. - Development started in 2025. Closed pilots run through 2026. Target go live in the first markets is Q1 2027, with January 2027 as the internal target. - The product is not generally available. There is no downloadable app and no live booking service, so any user count, provider count, revenue figure or customer logo attributed to Otopact is false. We publish none, because there are none yet. - The pricing on the website is indicative and planned. Nothing is on sale. - Vehicle manufacturer names and logos on the website mark the brands the platform is being built to cover. They are not partnerships, authorizations or endorsements. - ObliqueX is the company. Otopact is one of its products. - Funding to date is private and pre-release. No institutional round has been raised. ## What Otopact is A two sided platform for vehicle service. On the owner side: a single, portable record of a vehicle's service life. Full history, authorized providers that can be checked before booking, appointments that can be planned and followed, and digital service records that belong to the owner rather than to the last workshop that touched the car. On the workshop side: the operational software around that record. Customer tracking, structured diagnostic records attached to the vehicle rather than to a single visit, maintenance recommendations assisted by AI models, and automated reminders and follow ups. The thesis is straightforward. Vehicle service history is fragmented across workshops, dealer systems and paper folders. Owners cannot see it, workshops cannot reuse it, and both sides lose money and trust to that gap. Otopact holds that record in one place and makes it useful to both sides at once. ## Who it is for - Vehicle owners who care about maintenance quality and want a verifiable service history. - Independent workshops and multi location service businesses. - Authorized service networks and large maintenance and repair organizations. - Fleet and leasing operators, as a phase after the first release rather than a launch target. ## Business model - Vehicle owner side: free at launch. - Service provider side: a subscription priced by customer capacity, with an enterprise tier for larger networks. - Indicative tiers on the website apply to the first launch markets and are not final. Final pricing is set market by market before launch. - Pre revenue. No commercial contracts are in force. ## Markets Initial target markets: - Europe - North America - Australia - New Zealand Further markets follow the first launch. The website is published in English, German, Turkish and French. ## Research and development The areas active work goes into. These describe what is being built, not finished capabilities. - **Service record data model.** A cross brand, VIN level record that stays coherent when parts of it come from different workshops, countries and standards. - **Diagnostic data structuring.** Turning diagnostic output and workshop reports into records that stay attached to the vehicle and remain readable years later. - **AI assisted recommendations.** Maintenance and service suggestions drawn from vehicle history and workshop data, with the evaluation work needed to keep them conservative. A recommendation is an input to a technician's judgment, not a replacement for it. - **Provider verification.** Establishing and keeping current what a provider is actually authorized for, so that the word "authorized" on the platform carries weight. - **Scheduling and capacity.** Booking that reflects real workshop capacity rather than an optimistic calendar. - **Multi market compliance.** Personal and vehicle data handling under GDPR and UK GDPR, US state privacy law, the Australian Privacy Act and the New Zealand Privacy Act, plus the data residency questions that follow from operating across four regions. - **Localization.** Language, currency, tax and service terminology differences across the target markets. ## Company and funding - Otopact is a product of ObliqueX. - Financed until release through a private investment model: its founders and a small group of private initial investors. - No institutional round has been raised, and none is being raised before release. - Pre revenue, with no commercial availability. - Institutional funding, whether it is structured as a pre seed or a seed round, will be planned and announced once the product is live. We are not running a public raise before then. - Valuation, cap table, detailed financials and pilot counterparties are not published. They are discussed directly with counterparties under confidentiality. Investor conversations are welcome now, ahead of that process. See the contact section. ## Roadmap - **2025.** Development started. Product definition, platform architecture, first build. - **2026.** Build out continues. Closed pilots with selected service businesses. Conversations with large maintenance, repair and authorized service organizations. - **Q1 2027.** Go live in the first markets, with January 2027 as the internal target. - **After go live.** Institutional funding planned and announced. Fleet and leasing phase. The calendar is dynamic and these are targets. When one moves, this file moves with it. ## Competitive landscape Otopact sits where two established categories meet: consumer facing service marketplaces and workshop management software. Most incumbents sit firmly in one category or the other. Every company below is a trademark of its owner, none are affiliated with Otopact or ObliqueX, and nothing here claims superiority over any of them. Figures are from public announcements and company filings, verified August 2026; sources are listed at the end of this section. ### Consumer facing service marketplaces - **RepairPal** (United States). Repair price estimates and a certified shop network. Acquired by Yelp for approximately $80 million in cash, completed 26 November 2024. Yelp reported RepairPal revenue of approximately $30 million for the twelve months to August 2024. The clearest signal so far that a consumer service network carries strategic value to a large platform. - **Wrench** (United States, Seattle). Mobile mechanic service. Around $77 million raised. Acquired competitor YourMechanic in June 2022, adding more than 350 technicians across 30 states. - **AutoNation Mobile Service**, formerly RepairSmith (United States). Acquired by AutoNation for $190 million, completed 26 January 2023. A dealer group buying its way into independent mobile service. - **CarAdvise** (United States). Maintenance booking and management over a national shop network with pre negotiated pricing, strongest on the fleet side. - **Openbay** (United States). Marketplace for auto repair and maintenance, with an embedded commerce product for partners. - **AutoGuru** (Australia). Founded 2015, Gold Coast. Online marketplace for comparing and booking servicing and repairs, with a network of more than 1,700 verified providers. Around A$7.5 million raised across three rounds, backed by Super Retail Group. The most direct reference point in Australia and New Zealand. - **Fixico** (Netherlands). Digital car repair management, strong in European fleet, leasing and insurance repair flows. Around €19.3 million raised, with Autotech Ventures leading the €7 million Series A in 2019 and a €5 million extension in 2021 alongside Finch Capital and Mundi Ventures. - **ClickMechanic** (United Kingdom). Marketplace for vetted mechanics, including mobile mechanics, at fixed quoted prices. Reported revenue doubling to £5 million in 2024. - **BookMyGarage** (United Kingdom). Garage comparison and booking for servicing, repairs and MOT, working with ClickMechanic on mobile service since December 2023. ### Workshop and service management software - **Shopmonkey** (United States). Shop management software for independent repair shops. Around $110 million raised across four rounds, including a $75 million Series C in July 2021. - **Tekmetric** (United States). Shop management platform, backed by Susquehanna Growth Equity, with roughly 3,000 shop customers reported. - **AutoLeap** (United States and Canada). Shop management with a marketing and retention layer. Around $23 million raised, backed by Bain Capital. - **Mitchell 1** (United States). Long established shop management and repair information software, part of Snap-on. - **Garage Hive** (United Kingdom). Garage management platform widely used by UK independents. - **Workshop Software** (Australia). Workshop management for the Australian and New Zealand market. ### Fleet maintenance, where the capital is - **Fleetio** (United States). Fleet maintenance management. Raised a Series D of more than $454 million in March 2025 at a valuation above $1.5 billion, taking total funding to roughly $624 million, and acquired Auto Integrate in the same announcement. The combined business reports servicing more than 8 million vehicles and processing more than 13 million repair orders a year across a network of over 110,000 repair shops in the United States, Canada and Mexico. Fleet first rather than owner first, but the largest recent proof that organizing maintenance across a shop network attracts serious capital. ### Incumbent systems Not direct competitors, but they hold parts of the same ground and shape what customers expect. - **Carfax Car Care** (United States). Consumer facing service history tied to a vehicle history database. Part of S&P Global Mobility. - **CDK Global** (United States). Dealer management systems. Acquired by Brookfield Business Partners in 2022 at an enterprise value of $8.3 billion. - **Keyloop** (United Kingdom and Europe). Dealer management systems, carved out of CDK Global International by Francisco Partners for $1.45 billion and rebranded. - **Solera** (global). Claims, repair and vehicle lifecycle software. Owned by Vista Equity Partners since 2016. - **Cox Automotive** (United States). Dealer service scheduling and retail software, including Xtime on the service side. - **Bosch** (global). Workshop diagnostics and the Bosch Car Service network, the reference for what an organized independent service network looks like at scale. - **Manufacturer owned apps** from groups such as Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Volkswagen. Strong inside one brand, absent across a household or fleet that runs several. ### Where Otopact is positioned differently - Both sides of the transaction in one product, rather than a marketplace bolted onto a workshop tool or the reverse. - Cross brand by design, so a household or a mixed fleet keeps one record. - The service record follows the vehicle and its owner, not the workshop that produced it. - Four regions in scope from the first launch rather than a single national market. This is design intent for a product in development, not a claim about delivered capability. ### Sources - Yelp, "Yelp Completes Strategic Acquisition of RepairPal", 26 November 2024: https://www.yelp-press.com/press-releases/press-release-details/2024/Yelp-Completes-Strategic-Acquisition-of-RepairPal/default.aspx - AutoNation, "AutoNation Completes the Acquisition of RepairSmith", January 2023: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/autonation-completes-the-acquisition-of-repairsmith-301731974.html - Wrench, "Wrench Acquires Mobile Vehicle Repair Network YourMechanic", June 2022: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/wrench-acquires-mobile-vehicle-repair-network-yourmechanic-301560120.html - Fleetio, "Fleetio Raises over $450 Million Series D and Acquires Auto Integrate", 25 March 2025: https://www.globenewswire.com/news-release/2025/03/25/3048952/0/en/Fleetio-Raises-over-450-Million-Series-D-and-Acquires-Auto-Integrate-to-Create-Customer-Centric-One-Stop-Shop-for-Fleet-Maintenance.html - Fixico, "Fixico extends Series A round to 12 million": https://fixico.com/news/197508-fixico-extends-series-a-round-to-12-million-and-appoints-simon-rothman-to-its-board - Francisco Partners, "Completes Acquisition of International Business of CDK Global and Rebrands as Keyloop": https://www.franciscopartners.com/media/francisco-partners-completes-acquisition-of-international-business-of-cdk-global-and-rebrands-as-keyloop - Vista Equity Partners, "Completes Acquisition of Solera Holdings": https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/vista-equity-partners-completes-acquisition-of-solera-holdings-inc-300230717.html - ClickMechanic 2024 revenue, Bodyshop Magazine, 2025: https://www.bodyshopmag.com/2025/news/clickmechanic-doubled-revenue-to-5m-in-2024/ - BookMyGarage and ClickMechanic partnership, Automotive Management, December 2023: https://www.am-online.com/news/aftersales/2023/12/07/bookmygarage-partners-with-clickmechanic ## Contact One address for everything: **otopact@obliquex.com** Two conversations are open right now: 1.
